Selected as TRUST 2017 Forum Award Winner
Lindy Yokanovich
Congratulations to Lindy Yokanovich, Cancer Legal Line, winner of the TRUST 2017 Forum Award for Collaboration & Partnerships – Small Company from Women’s Health Leadership TRUST. Lindy was among three finalists in the category, which received numerous entries from collaborative women in Minnesota health care.
Winners were announced at the TRUST Forum on April 20 and the event featured keynote speaker Susan Salka, networking, dinner, and awards ceremony. Eighteen finalists in six categories were recognized with six winners announced that evening.
The Women’s Health Leadership TRUST celebrated the Minnesota women and companies in health care who focus on collaboration to do great together. It has been said that while competition makes us faster, collaboration makes us better. Just two people can create collaboration in health care to improve the world. Partnerships and collaboration are terrific opportunities to shake up the status quo and reframe traditional thinking. These experiences often challenge us, open up our minds and shed light on ideas better than our singular thought.
Collaboration & Partnerships Category: No one discipline can systemically address complex health issues. Building partnerships within an organization or forging collaborative external relationships often takes a common goal. In some cases, radical collaboration is observed where creative tensions fostered by opposing ideas and perspectives work together to find a solution that improves the delivery of health care for everyone.
Founded in 1979, the Women’s Health Leadership TRUST provides networking, leadership development, career advancement and education opportunities for women leaders in health care. Over the past 35 years, the 400-plus member organization has grown into one of the most influential women’s health care organizations in Minnesota.
